I'm still new to this whole build it yourself world.

Anyway, here are some components I want:

Radeon 4870
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
Corsair 750W PSU
E8400

I won't be doing much overclocking, if any. Maybe I will once I look into. This is primarily for gaming.

Question:

Should I go with the P35 or the P45?

The Asus P5Q Pro looks good. But the GA-Ep35C-DS3R has better reviews at Newegg. I guess I'm concerned mostly about compatibility with my components and not having to fart with changing bios. Since I'm not very experienced, I need this thing to work out of box (Or at least that would be nice). A lot of people seemed to have bios problems with the Gigabyte P45 (On Newegg anyway). That's why I'm nervous about that.

Thanks to all those who are willing to answer these kinds of questions over and over and over again...

All of your components should work just fine with either motherboard, but I'd go with P45 over P35.

I have the P5Q-E, very similar to the pro. I have it paired with an e8400 and 2x2GB G.Skill ram and it works great.

Great! Thanks. It's nice to know it should run just fine with those components.

Either the gigabyte P45 or the P5Q Pro would get my vote.

the GA-Ep35C-DS3R has better reviews at Newegg.

Never go by reviews on a retail site. They are either "I bought this and I haven't used it yet but it's great!" or "I bought this and I broke it and it sucks!".

Look for reviews at sites that only review hardware. Those reviews are based on using, testing and benchmarking the products.
