A fix to my problem installing programs

Hey Everyone,

I posted here before that i was having a problem installing quicktime and other programs. I thought it was NIS2007 but it wasn't. I read some where that windows vista for some reason is not registering regsrv32 and they posted a way to register regsrv32.

This is what fixed my program and i was able to install quicktime and winzip 11.1

Fix to problems installing programs.

Part 1

Go to Start then All Programs then Accessories right click on Command Prompt and Run As Administrator.

In command prompt change directories to go to c:\windows\

For people with windows vista 32bit they need to go to folder \system32\
For people with windows vista 64bit they need to go to folder \syswow64\

c:\windows\system32\
c:\windows\syswow64\

Once there type "regsvr32 vbscript.dll" without the " " quotes.

That will fix the problem.

So that vbscript dll somehow became unregistered, and that's probably what the windows installed needs to run Maybe norton does something with that script needed to install software in an attempt to protect you
