ok,im a evga member and everything goes to intel.i want to build a dedicated folding machine and i do not know if i need amd or intel.i have a $1500.00 budget, that includes a {modem or cable router }i am not the smartest person, but i realize that if i want amd info you guys can help.should i go with sandy bridge or the new amd.i run a intel I7950@4.0 and 2 gtx 470 at 750/1500/1799 right now 100% stable.any help will be thanked,i am 54 but only have a 10th grade education.so i cant spell or express myself right.thank you patches.

If your interested in an AMD route, wait a month or two for the Bull Dozer chips to be released to see how it competes, if your looking to build right now, best bet at the $1500 route is possibly two AMD Octo Core chips in a C32 setup, or a 2600k with a nice and high overclock

Intel 2600K overclocked to 4.2Ghz to 4.5Ghz will give you about 60,000 every two days or less. Thus about 30,000 PPD.

Thanks for stopping by. We can help you with any of your questions.

Fold on! For the Cure!

Always good to hear from one of "you" guys :)

There are some nice things coming soon. However a dual or quad g34 mobo that can upgrade to the new AMD chips that are on the way I think would be a good bet.

It is what I did
