A Darn Pretty Sight

It's that time of year...!

I know I've personally pushed my production back above 1k ppd for the first time in 3 or 4 months, thanks to the cooling weather and return to more computers being in use. With any luck I'll break 2k ppd within a couple weeks.

Could this be some sort of single day record? I know it was huge when we hit 500k in a day, then 600, but nigh on 700?!? Amazing!

We can thank FLECOM for turning in over 100,000 points yesterday on his own.

It's a stats recredit event.

Now getting team PPD 7 day average back above 550K w/o QMD's would be something to post about... :)

House, who said anything about house? All but one of my boxen are at work :D

However I might be moving to a slightly larger place in a few weeks with free power, so if I have room I might be able to host a few small boxes...

On another note, we just bought 25 new Dell P4 2.8 boxes that will be going into service soon. I intend to have FAH running on them all by November :)

can someone explain to me what FLCOM is? is it some guy with a crap ton of computers on, or just a huge office/university/city borg'd out?

I know its hard to believe... but FLECOM is indeed a guy.... with a ton of computers on. I don't know for sure what he has powering his production, but I am almost posative he has a school or two borged, and perhaps an office or sorts... and maybe even a decent folding farm in his home. For a definate answer though, you'd have to ask him.

by the sounds of it FLECOM is in a massive corparate environment (with 200 new machines:)). I could be wrong...but yea he has some SERIOUS cpu power ;)

Pretty certain he's in an academic setting, but don't remember why I think that. FLECOM doesn't post much.

The thing about those 200 new machines was that I'm pretty sure they were Pentium D 3.0ghz cpus, which is nasty sweet.

Big F= school I do belive. Not even the admin, "pays to know people" I think was it.

I know borging my schools computers would be pointless because they completely reset everyday. :( And to think I am within spitting distance of over 1000 decent computers plus there is always that cluster of 1100 Dual G5s.

chances are...you can set the reset program to save some data instead of resetting it ...chances are that is

DAMN. i leave for 2 weeks and look what happens. FLECOM we love you :D my ppd on the other hand isnt doing so well

Yep Bethesda,MD
I really like it here, i was stationed in DC for 3 years, and it was horrible. Up here you dont have to worry about going off base and getting mugged, or shot. Theres a Metro right across the street from the gate. Its such a nice area. Except that the barracks here are HORRIBLE. Mold all over the place, in the ac/ventalation ducts, its just nastey.

The whole Bethesda/Rockville/Silver Spring area is over priced housing. I guess you gotta pay to live near DC.
