In my main rig, I have a 9800GT PE form PNY

and a Visiontek 4650 :

I am using the 9800GT as a physX card in my main rig, but find that I just don't use it in any games, now that I beat Batman. The 4650 is in my HTPC.

The question is, is the 9800GT significnatly more powerful than the 4650?
I plan on taking the HTPC on vacation with me to the 'rents for the holidays, and might give the 4650 away...

The 9800GT is a good bit faster than the 4650. If I remember right, the 9600 GT traded blows with the 4670, and the 9800GT had ~15-20% on the 9600GT.

So if you plan on playing games, I'd use the 9800GT. But if you are just going to watch movies and the like, no reason to swap out the cards.

Well, this is the PE version of the 9800, which needs no PCI-E power cable, and therefore is slower than a normal 9800. U had trouble finding any reviews online about it, so I am not sure where it would fall.

And, yes, I do plan on playing some games with it.
