Technically it's 128 cores since it's 64 dual-core chips, so it's still hard-on worthy ;).

or what about those 128 thread chips from intel.. i remember reading something about that a while back..

What's the big deal? I just wanted to play solitaire and minesweeper. You guys don't have similar setups for those games?!

Probably due to socket support, as far as I know, Win 7 still only supports 2 sockets. 2008 R2 can support 64 sockets with datacenter edition.
