Between the PSUs I've found in the sub-$100 range, which would you pick?

I'm leaning towards the Corsair 550VX, but I'd like some opinions on the matter. I'm using $99 as the point because that's what best fits my budget. I could pay more or less, depending on the trade offs of doing so (more $ on PSU means less $ left for my GPU, and vice versa). GPU and PSU are my major upgrades for this year, and I'm planning on waiting for the 9800 series release because I'm not in too great a need at the moment.

I think the general consensus around here would be to go for the Corsair. And I agree. ;) That's not to say the other ones aren't good, but the Corsair has a good reputation, redbeard (corsair rep) stays on top of the forums in case there are any problems, it is a good PSU. You may want to look around at other vender's, newegg isn't known for cheap PSU's, but that price seems pretty good.

One last thing, when you list that many links in a post, give each one a simple description. For example:

Corsair 550VX

Just makes things alot easier.:)

Unless you're tied to newegg, and need that much power, I'd recommend a 520HX. Modular is a thing of beauty.

I don't think I'll really be needing modular, but it would be a very useful thing to have.

Oh well, modular or not you're basically asking to go Corsair or not, because Corsair's basically your best choice. :p
