8800gts 640mb Overclock?

They do but the shader can clock even higher than the other two can.

I don't know why your card is stuck at 1512 shader though.

Artefacts on ATItool are not necessarily a problem in-game. I'll be posting an update in a while.

UPDATE 5
I increased the Shader to 1674 (from 1620) and gained exactly another 29 points in 3DMark06 1.10, just like with the jump from 1512 to 1620.
With 648-1674-1053 settings I played Stalker for about half and hour and noticed nothing weird. ATItool reports artefacts immediately but I can't see any in-game.

P.S. My system is bit slow though, so other people might see much larger benefits.

I think so, wasn't acting too friendly any higher. But I didn't test the core and mem separately to find out which was causing artifacts. @ 658 I'd artifact around the 14 min. mark.

But, I'm curious--I thought, from reading those links, the shader scales with the core? I'm not completely opposed to flashing the BIOS, but I'd like to know why I have to force the shader clock to budge.
Apparently this has to do with which BIOS you have.
Mine matches the page I used, your's probably the Madshrimps list.

The thing is that the shader clock is much more flexible than the core clock.
EDIT: I got the info from the Madshrimps article (once again, superb link PCduster :D )
At core = 702, shader = 1674

I just saw the link to the program. You should make a new post if you are not the latest one.
I had to spent an entire night away from it. :( Still, you made it 8800 specific. Weren't you able to implement the original equation supplied by SuperKeijo?

So instead of making it GTS/GTX specific, make it 256 / 320 / 384 / 512 bus width specific.

P.S. I like the icon. How do you get one there?

I can very, VERY easily do that. I will do that in a few.

I really wanted to make it a GUI, and like I said previously, it actually reads your card and your cards memory speed, but, I have absolutely no idea how to even start such a thing. If only ATITool was open source.

My system has been acting weird lately. Sometimes it is stable at a certain overclock, for 8 hours, sometimes it isn't stable for 3 minutes. Hmm...

And, I got the icon by going to Google, searching nVIDIA icons, and adding it in Resource Hacker.

Let me go make it 256 / 320 / 384 / 512 bus compatible.

EDIT: I am working on it, and I can easily add a way to where it downloads a list of cards already in the system, and users can upload their infromation if it is not in there. Shall I do that?

I'm not sure. Does that mean it requires an internet connection?

How does RivaTuner read the bus width? Is that open source?

I was thinking 2 empty fields. One bus width and one current effective memory speed. A button (calculate) to press and that's it.

Nope.
It isn't the bus width I want to read, I want to read the core clock speed.
nTune does it.
ATITool does it.
Alot of overclocking tools do it. I just don't know how.

If I knew how, I could make it just pop up a message and tell you your current memory bandwith without any input.
