Can someone with an 8800GT please run this test, something with standard clocks or a moderate overclock (nothing that requires volt mods or anything like that to achieve)

That was done with my HD 3850 256MB at stock clocks if anyone was wondering

if no one gets to it ill run it once i get home tonight [8800gts 640mb]

Would help you out but don't have Crysis nor Vista

For a person who hasn't got the actual game Crysis (yes, there is one of us in the world), can you download just the benchmarking tool that you have a screenshot of? If so, can you post a link to it. I'd love to see how my 8800GT stacks up as far as FPS goes.

im pretty sure you can use this benchmark tool with crysis demo. demo might have bit diff performance however.

I can run it on XP for you if you like?
You'd need to provide another bench running DX9 to have any kind of comparison though.

ps 15fps is appalling, you want to be around 40fps in the timedemo to cope with the slower parts of the game.
Its better to do more than one run otherwise you are benching the speed that textures can get to your gfx card and how fast your hard drive can send them.

Definitely true. My first run is always about 10% slower than any run that follows.

Here's mine:
BTW: I don't have that 1400x960 config...I'm not sure if my PC instead went for 1400x1050 (my monitor reported this):

This is with a doable overclock of 700/1782/993 . Otherwise I'd run it at 729/1836/1100 which is my max overclock.

system in sig, e6300 is actually at 3150mhz though.

I had to run the benchmark at 1280x1024 which is as high as my LCD will go. There were a few tiny pauses where the computer seemed to page out or whatever, which would explain the low Min FPS.. This only happened two or three times. Maybe upgrading to 4GB of RAM would solve that.

Code:
Play Time: 58.41s, Average FPS: 34.24
Min FPS: 12.99 at frame 139, Max FPS: 47.87 at frame 68
    Average Tri/Sec: 34076388, Tri/Frame: 995263

The 8800GT comes factory overclocked to 700/1715/920.

alright great thanks guys, i was looking to see if crysis would be playable with all high at my native res(which is 1440x900 but that was the closest on there) with an 8800GT which it seems like it would.

That low res gaming is sweet.

Im glad Im poor and cant afford anything bigger then 19"

=D

It's crazy how stomped a 3850 gets vs. a 8800GT

yea, the budget thing kind of works as an advantage because, maybe i'm missing something, but i dont think i would notice more detail or a crisper picture if i was using a 24 inch 1920x1200 monitor.

Yeah, I would never buy a 24" monitor unless I was loaded and knew I would have enough money to buy a new gfx card to regularly run at native res. I'm fine with a monitor a few inches smaller with twice the performance.
