$850 Gaming PC building SOON! Help!

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc

Gaming: Diablo3, NBA 2k12
Photoshop, Video Editiing

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?

After shipping and tax, $850. Could raise a little more.

3) Where do you live?

CA, Newegg has TAX here! So sad!

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

CPU+ MOBO: I think there's i5 2500k+z68 combo deal in Micro Center. Total $280 I think.
Ram: better 8G
HDD: I want a SSD and a normal HDD. Any suggestion?

Wifi Adapter

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

I have a case: phantom white; I have a emachine 23' monitor; JBL speaker system; keyboard and mouse

Probably not.

7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have?

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

ASAP. this week and next week. would like to have the
whole system in the beginning of August.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? etc.

Do not have any special needs now.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

1) How long will it take you to drive to MC?
2) How much gas will it take to get to MC?
3) Do note that you have to pay tax at MC as well.
4) Do note that $275 price is actually after $15 MIR. So it's actually $290 + tax. With CA tax, that bundle is about $320 give or take a few dollars.

So that MC deal is probably not a good idea depending on your answers to #1 and # 2.

I think MC's 2500k is 179, and there is a Gigabyte Z68 Mobo for only 114. after the 40 combo discount it is 260+tax=285, I think it's a good deal though.

Any good deal on Newegg recently?

There's some un-opened graphic cards (560ti) on my local craigslist. would that be an option?

There have been a lot of good deals on Neweg recently. Unfortunately, CA tax kills every one of those deals for you. Believe me, I know: I live in SoCal and was eying some of those deals myself. Not to mention that some of deals don't apply to you on account of your hardware needs.

$69? Which set? If it's the DDR3 1600 set, do note that there is little to no real world performance difference between DDR3 1600 and DDR3 1333 RAM. So that would be a waste of $9.

No. Due to the fact that you're doing photoshop and video editing work and the fact that some of those video editing software as well Photoshop do take advantage of Nvidia's CUDA features to further increase performance. As such, you're better off with a Nvidia card. Due to your monitor's resolution, the GTX 560 Ti is the minimum Nvidia card I'd recommend.

Today I saw a sapphire 6950 2GB on Craigslist also without receipt...for 215

If you don't care about not having any warranty, buy the card without a receipt available. But think about it: If that card dies, you're out $210. And who knows what the previous owner did to that GPU?
