1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
I'd like to be able to play the current FPS titles at highest frame rate possible within budget, a little Photoshop, and I don't want to worry if I have 15 tabs open in Chrome

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$800 not including shipping/tax.

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
US, Ann Arbor, Michigan. A Microcenter is 30 mins away.

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.

No.

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
22" 1680x1050. Would like to grab the 24" 120hz BenQ monitor soon after building.

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Immediately.

9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
USB 3.0 and *maybe* Thunderbolt? Thunderbolt not a deal breaker.

10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yes. Windows 7 Pro 64bit

In addition to my concerns listed in question 1 I'd like the system to be quiet so I'd prefer to use the following case...

It has a nice simple design that looks like it'd be perfect for me. If the use of that case pushes my budget a little over $800 I won't sweat it.

Other than that longevity of course is a strong desire. I built my current system in October of 2007 and have held out until now

That's 670. Use the rest on case and psu. Try to get a board with two pcie slots in case you want more firepower later

Total: $849 shipped plus tax on the CPU and mobo.

That Fractal R4 with the Window is a placeholder as I do not know when the non-windowed R4 will come back in stock and how quiet the windowed version is compared to the non-windowed version. Yes the build is $50+ over budget but it's worth every single penny IMO.

In this case, go witht he Gigabyte since it's now cheaper than that XFX. At the time, the XFX was $140 with free shipping plus it included three games for free and now it's $150 + $8 shipping making it not so great. Even the Gigabyte at $140 + $8 shipping is a little high but at least you get a free game with it as well.

RAM looks fine.

Also that HDD is a little over priced now. Go with this one instead.
