My friend was telling me about an 8-track player that could fit into a 5.25" bay. I googled around for it a bit, but I was not able to find it. Can anyone confirm the existence of this? If so, please link it.

Also, if you know of any other off the wall 5.25" or 3.5" bay mods that go beyond the just the standard bay mods found on frozencpu, etc., then please link it.

never seen a 8track player for a 5.25.. but I have a seen a normal tape deck.. maybe thats what he's talking about.

I really really doubt it. I doubt that any consumer-level 8 track players(if any at all) have been made in the last 15 years. Why would you want one anyway? 8 tracks are horrible and I can't think of any reason why anyone would want to listen to them when there are so many other alternatives.

I wish I had this much time on my hands to think about these things. ;) ;) :D

lol 8-track! I remember having one of those things... always ate tapes up like crazy.

a record player would actually be pretty awesome. any ideas for powering and playing a record player through a pc, or incorporating it into a computer?

That cassette player is kinda nifty.

ZX-Spectrum computers (I think they was called Timex in USA) hacked into towers could use one.
