Here's a 590 for comparison sake:

some one do a benchmark with 2 7970's using the same settings and there ya go for a comparison.

btw the person who posted the image is claiming the clocks are 1100/1450 if anyone wants to try it with 2 7970's.

Or, someone may have already benched 2 x 7970, and then claimed the results were 7990.

As you can see it is an engineering sample.
One more with unigine at normal.

As with the 5970, 6990, etc. the performance will probably be more like two 5850s/6950s, than two of the top end cards due to heat/power restrictions (which the user can overcome through overclocking of course).

I have to ask and you prob wont tell me. Is this your 7990 or are you just pullin our leg?

The 7970 benchmark says "7900" series while the 7990 card specifically says "7990" seems a little weird. Someone look at those pics a little closer;)

Man I have no problem to tell you that this card is not mine.
The guy just give me his own driver just to play with my HD7970 and some screenshots from his ES card.

what about the vram? shouldn't it be 6144mb?

no because it will only show the info based on 1 gpu, each gpu has 3GB dedicated to it. same in crossfire theres only 3GB of usable vram, not 6GB.

Those are fake, I just ran it on my 7990 and got this.

by far the worst photoshop attempt ever. you would of been better off just editing it in paint.. at least then it would of been funny.

That's weird. When I tried to run it on my 7990 it said I need more plutonium to fire up the flux capacitor.

Is it just me or do the scores keep getting better. :p

First bench I did with my 7970 was a maxed out run of heaven and I scored only 423.

I saw the 1st screenshot in this thread and I was like, "No way is that card 7x better than my 7970!!!"

...then I realized the test was being run at "700 Club in HD" resolution...ghey. just ghey.

not everyone is as 1% as us, with our 30" monitors :D

I'm already saving up to move to a 4k monitor...

I just need to scrape up another $16000 and I'm SO IN!

I tried to bench my 7990 and it threatened to quit the red team to join the green team.

Heard lots of mixed reviews on 4k technology. Many are saying that in general people sit too close to mointors/TVs to see a difference with the human eye. Will be interesting indeed as more info rolls out. Will be wild when people have monthly monitor/tv payments.
