I am from India and i want to buy a 7950 Card

Stuck Between:

MSI R7950 TF 3GD5/OC BE (is it voltage locked ?)

GIGABYTE - 7950 windforce ... (rejected due to poor service in my area as told by other buyers) (Still i like its cooler but i heard that its voltage locked)(is it voltage locked too?)

The MSI model have some problems with the fans.. that would spin at 100% over 65C and make a lot of noise.. and you will have to RMA it...

so go for the Sapphire.

Get the Gigabyte if you're ever going to crossfire with a two slot space, the Sapphire isn't two slots.

I personally bought the Gigabyte HD 7950 Windforce card, and it's simply amazing (though any HD 7950 will likely perform similarly). It has very effective cooling and is MUCH quieter then I expected it to be. Can't vouch for "poor service" in your area or not, since it will certainly vary depending on what global region you live in.

But honestly, performance wise, ALL HD 7950's will perform the same (more or less), and are likely to OC to similar degrees. You need to find out what's important to you.

Such as:
- Voltage locked/unlocked
- How many slots (2/3)
- Type of cooler
- Factory OC'd
- Reference design (Important for Water Cooling)

and so on.

Once you know what particular things you find important, then we can help you decide on a specific card. Otherwise, as others have said, buy whatever is cheapest.

Picked up the MSI a couple of months ago from Microcenter and it was not voltage locked.
Has been serving me fine with none of the fan issues that Drangueos mentioned.

I have had two msi 7950 tf3's. one boost and one normal version. Both had 6+8 pin connectors, dual bios, unlocked voltage, and not a single problem. Never heard of the fan issue, but you can control fan speed with msi afterburner. Both overclocked great. I'd go with whatever is cheapest. I do like msi's transferable lifetime warranty
