Anyone else having problems with boost? My card underclocks to 925mhz when gaming. I have the card clocked to 1200mhz. This happens in tomb raider.

Anyone know how to disable this feature?
 
Is it only TR? When I had mine, I didn't notice it downclocking when I was running benchmarks or anything like that.
 
It only happened in TR far as I know. I play BF2 regularly and it clocks accordingly. Strange.
 
I just did some checkup and it does in many games. The card throttles to 925mhz every now and then. How do you disable this?
 
Boost powertune. The clock throttles because of programmed heat constraints. Increasing powertune increases the thermal limit acceptable to the card. Also try working on your case ventilation. Make sure a fan is blowing on the card or pulling air away from the card directly.
 
My sapphire card has temp threshold of 75C limit where the card starts throttling to 500. This seems to be a die problem. Before buying this card I had a Powercolor Myst card and that had a threshold of 85C or so but it was too loud.

The sapphire XT with the dual fan keeps it much cooler and less heat in my room so I kept the Sapphire card..
