Startled explodes! The G70 test result truncation attempts 3DMark05 to reach 7700日期:2005-6-14 撰写:FordReveals the card G70 issue along with the nVIDIA newest generation approaching, the more and more many GeForce 7,800 GTX news is announced, today we have obtained two G70 test result truncation chart from the overseas website.

Looked from the truncation chart that, in the 1024x768 resolution, tacitly approves under the establishment, the G70 score had achieved 7703, with the score which formerly divulges 7,800 approaches extremely. We did not know how the test the platform does dispose, therefore this result basically may determine is the G70 real score.

The next chart tests the Forceware driver establishment kneading board which the result uses, above already distinguished has revealed the card name was GeForce 7,800 GTX.

Don't today's good cards hit 7,000 when o/c'd? If so, doesn't seem all that impressive to me. Unless this is running in a laptop.

Saw this over at Overclockers the other day. NOT impressive at all. My X800XT/PE scores that.

MY 6800 Ultra gets me 5600 :(

I wanna see game benchies no 3dmark 05! bah! :D

A score like that makes me wonder if the G70 is what the R4xx is: An overclocked version of the previous generation.

Oh well. Expecting as big of a jump with this as we got from NV30 to N40 WAS asking a lot out of nVidia.

What happen to the rumors of the 7800GTX being as fast as Sli'd 6800GT's :(

No idea but I'm glad my 6800GT will do what my GeForce3 ti200 did: Last 3 generations.

I thought I heard that nvidia was going back to the drawing board with g70?
And wouldn't they have called it nv49 or something similar (an iteration of the old core name instead of a whole new naming scheme).

So, when will real benchmarks be out?
2 weeks

No matter what 2Fresh's card looks like, the overclock helps him achieve the same scores. So what's the point of paying soo much to upgrade when you can overclock your card to the same performance for only $200.

I was not impressed by that score at all, especially if that's the GTX version. How will the GT's score in comparisson ? The same as an X800 XT with simpe overclocks.

Very dissapointing to say the least.

Well, wouldnt ATi have called the R420 the R390?

The bar lists SLI in the GFX preferences with 1 card? (maybe it is a PCI Xpress thing)
No extra AA settings?
Interesting to me.

Well maybe 3dmark05 is CPU limited now, haha. No wonder this will be out so soon. They havent seem to have done much. Hello NV30

What the...you realise how much he paid for that "OC" that will cut down on the life of his card. Not everyone wants to take that kind of risk, and actually likes hardware warranties. A lot of people are still waiting with low end cards(by today's standards).

why not want a card that can do those scores that's not butchered/extreme cooling.

GTX version is somewhat of the GT version, Nvidia is supposedly holding back an Ultra version that will make the GTX clock look tiny.. or something like that, There just waiting for Ati to announce there R520.. or so ive heard..

Yes, as stated. $200

What I heard was that the GTX is the Ultra version.

I honestly think this is going to be an awesome card, Its just that its been so over hyped.. even though its a good increase in performance. We're getting greedy.. :D

I added some more, hit reply too fast.

he's also watercooling and whatnot, adds even more to the price of just getting a card.

Ok Yeah But Nvidia supposedly has Ultra/ Ultra Extreme type card waiting for ATI.. ;)

Maybe. But a better illustration would be if ATi called R420 the M51. It would lead you to believe it is a totally different architecture.

Because if the rumors are true, the GTX will cost an arm and a leg, just like an XTPE + Extreme cooling.

(sits in corner and waits to see what R520 has up its sleeve, as well as some "real" benchmarks from G70)

What also needs to be considered here is that that score is with drivers that are in no way shape or form final and that they might not be worth a damn in point of truth. As the G70 matures a couple of months more driver flavors will be refined and released that will likely up the performance of the card by a fair amount.

I was one of the lucky ones that bought a 5900U when it was hot off the boat from overseas and while it got soundly spanked by the 9800pros at first after some fiddling and with the post 45.23 drivers, where nV actually got the driver's compiler working decently enough to get the pipes working as they should, it turned out to be a pretty decent card. I was getting 7000 in '03, 20,000 in '01 and in the games I'm playing now from when the card was still new (BF'42 for instance) I was able to play at 1600x1200 with 8xaf and 2xQaa enabled. A feat my 6800nu won't pull off with frame rates that are worth a damn and it's unlocked.

Personally I say I'm not going to judge too harshly on a piece of non-final equipment running beta drivers and instead I'm going to wait and see how the "real" G70 performs.

Well considering it's probably not too much derived from NV40 the drivers should be in good shape. IMHO people are getting too carried away by a 3dmark05 score at 1024x768...especially considering that some have said the benchmark would be vertex fetch limited at that resolution (unlike most games)

One German webstore has 7800GTX 256MB on their list for 599€:

That's 28% more than X850XTPE in same store...
dddddddddddaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyymmmmmmmmmm.................

and w/ the freakin conversion rate... thats.. thats.... :HOLYFREAKINMOTHEROFPEARLJAWDROP: 722$!!!!! holy crap........ :( :( :(

Its not to bad, I remember when the 6800U and the X800XT PE were first out.......

I know I paid to have my card tweaked, that is not my point. I am just saying you can do that now with current cards..I was really expecting a card that would match SLi Ultras.

I'm from europe believe I know... and the conversion rate is close to 1.2 at the moment.

Remember the taxes in Europe.

Some examples from prices in europe:
x800xl 280-330€
X850XTPE 450-500€

If anyone has seen the leaked photos of the 7800GTX, you can't miss the fact that only half of the GDDR "traces" are linked to chips. This makes it seem very likely to me that there will later be a 512 megabyte card based on the same architecture, probably clocked a bit higher too. This might be worth waiting for, although a 50% boost to my 3dmark05 score might be good in the meantime :)

Can you do that to my X800xtpe? I want those scores and that cooling

and yeah i hope your card does better because it is faster then shit

you know, maybe this is like back when the NV40 came out and nVidia told everyone it would be an 8x2 architecture and then blew everyone away with the real thing. They even sent some 8x2 sample "NV40" cards to reviewers.

you guys need to stop believe everything that is ever posted online, ill wait for the card to actually be RELEASED before i make any judgements on the card.

and where have you been? the conversion rate is approx 1.3€:1$

which absolutely sucks for us... :(

Then I shouldn't tell you that when I got my 6800GT AGP, I paid $732.39 for it...normal price in Denmark for high-ends cards at release..and you US guys think you can compare prices over the Atlantic?
A 6800 GT AGP here i DK is now around $471.98...for the cheap ones...some still charge $618.46 for a 6800GT AGP

Terra - Hope that cleared something up for you...

Remember high import taxes and sales taxes in Europe.

PS. You should order 6800gt from Germany for 250€ = 300$.

Nah. You can get a 6800GT for the same price in the US, and that way the money wouldn't be stolen by the evil european socialist government. Instead it would go to Newegg or wherever where someone can then make a living for their family rather than paying off a bureaucrat's favors.
