Getting my roomate an new PSU for Christmas. His current Antec is crapping out and he needs room to upgrade from his old AMD XP3200+. Whats the best I can get for 75$ shipped? He plans on doing a single 8800GT, C2D setup. Thx for any info.

One problem with that suggestion: it's $90, not around $75.

I'd get the Corsair PSU. Offers more power than the other two choices on the +12V rail where most PCs get their power from. It comes with a 5 year warranty and it's of pretty excellent quality. You can get it here with free shipping:

And for the linkaphobic, that particular unit has a $10 MIR, so $66 AR on that one...Pretty damn fine unit for the price IMHO. $75 ($65 AR) @ Mwave, unknown shipping cost there, best to combine purchase to lower overall shipping fees (ie: they don't usually/if ever have free shipping there). $77 @ buy.com ($67 if you use GOOGLE CHECKOUT), free shipping, NO MIR in their price either if you hate MIRs.

I'd go for the Corsair VX450 as suggested above from zipzoomfly. $72, $10mib, making it $62.
