hi all,
building a video editing rig.
in the process of buying components:
Mobo: ASUS P6X58D-E
CPU: i7 950
GPU: ati 5770 flex or 6850 or nvidia 470 (may add a second in future
Case: CM HAF 932
RAM: 3 x 4GB DDR3

HDD: around 4 HDD may go up to 6.

Now, about the PSU.
I want best value 4 money being able to support the hardware.
Up to now I'm between:
CM Silent pro 700W
XFX PRO750W PRO EDITION
XILENCE 700W GAMING SERIES PSU (haven't found any review on this and itsthe cheapest of all along with the CM GX750 which received bad reviews)
Thermaltake Toughpower XT TPX-775M PFC PSU 775W
and the most expensive Corsair TX750w

I'd truly appreciate any suggestions, especially if anyone has first hand experience with above parts, and pros /cons

You haven't listed the prices for those PSUs so really can't say which one is the better buy.

Though just drop the Xilence PSU.

And are you sure the Corsair 750TX is the most expensive options of those PSUs? That doesn't sound right at all.

at the moment, the ones i can find available in my country are priced as follows:

XFX PRO 750W PRO EDITION 108 euros

Thermaltake Toughpower XT TPX-775M PFC PSU 775W 120euros

Corsair TX750W 125 euros

Corsair TX 850W 135euros'

CoolerMaster Silent Pro 700W 114euros

CoolerMaster GX Series 750W PSU 93 euros


Ideally I would like to keep it under 100 euros if possible, for PSU could sustain my hardware.
Would a 600W PSU cut in or not?

A good quality 600W PSU will be enough for that setup.

Out of those options, your best bet would be the XFX.
 
You'll get more bang for the buck if you go with the Corsair TX850. As you stated, you plan on adding another video card and more hard drives. PSU capacities diminish over time due to component aging.

If you buy a cheaper unit now, you will have to upgrade later. You'll spend 200 + euros instead of 135 euros. Also, consider that the Corsair PSUs are high quality. You get what you pay for.

I agree with the Corsair 850W price/performance but its stretching things financially a tad too much, especially if all the power is not going to be used and job could be done with a smaller unit.

Any suggestions on a "good quality 600W PSU" ?
would the CM silent pro 600 qualify or not?
 
Corsair is my personal favorite brand of anything they make really. Cant go wrong with any of their stuff.

The XFX and the ToughPower line from Thermaltake are also very solid choices. Pick any of these three and youll be set.
 
You can buy the SEASONIC 620W or if you want excellent psu then take the SEASONIC 650/750X .

The CM Silent Pro 600W PSU is a good quality PSU but its specs puts right in line with many 500W PSUs. So it's not exactly a true 600W PSU. The Corsair 650TX is a good choice as well as the XFX 650W.
 
I have the TX750W and it's a good solid 750W psu.

I like how it has a signal rail design with 60amps

+1 for the TX750W
