1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Mainly gaming (pretty much just Source games, probably Diablo 3, and Humble Indie Bundle type gaming; nothing too intensive), with some Photoshop (looking into taking a course on it next semester), Netflix and other movies/television shows, and, of course, web browsing.
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$700-$800 is best, tax and shipping included.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Denver, Colorado, USA
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Case, PSU, motherboard, CPU, RAM, hard drive, video card, monitor.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Keyboard, mouse, speakers.
6) Will you be overclocking?
No.
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
N/A
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Within the next month or so.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
USB 3.0 would be good.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yes, 64-bit Windows 7 Enterprise.
I'd like to go with an Intel processor if possible; my previous build was an AMD and I'd like to see how Intel is doing. Also, the monitor doesn't have to be huge and expensive, just a decent >= 20". If that doesn't fit into the price range, I do have an older 19" LCD I can use.
The hard drive(s) should be fairly capacitive; I currently have about 700GB-ish of TV shows, movies, and music on an external drive I'd like to have a main copy of, plus games and things. Maybe a 500GB for the OS/applications/games, and a 1TB for media?
I'll be using M-AUDIO AV40 studio reference monitors for speakers; I'm not sure how important a sound card will be to me as they sound fantastic already (hooked up to my MacBook Pro), but if there's some wiggle room in the price range...
