More people is really the only answer.

There's no magic formula here. Even though the [H] has almost twice as many registered team members EVGA currently has about 300 more Active members, so they are outproducing us (that's roughly 30% of our active members). It's not about Hex cores, SR-2s, or supercomputers, it's about consistently maintaining more active members and as of now they are doing it. Even if we gain 1000 new people, if they don't stay active it only works as a spike.

well... I fill find out if its stable tuesday.... I left it folding... it was giving me 20k ppd..... but I can replace it with a dual cpu rig...

I agree 100%. Big numbers from big producers are fun, but it is really about keeping the number of active folders up and growing. This is where EVGA's incentive program wins in a big way.

i am hopeful the ATI client (if it ever happens) would give us a nice boost in active users

yup... that was the premise of the thread...
who do you know? who can you recruit...

riling up the team into fold offs and inner competitions typically only boost for a short term...
people will over extend can't sustain the power draw etc.
I have kinda been trying to do that... mainly cause its fun...

so I razed jebo... and he poked back... then for some reason I decided to pick on the biggest folder on the block... just hoping he doesn't ramp up and squish me like a bug...

Or maybe you're hoping that he does ;).

I vote for linux bigadv! You'll see a fairly healthy bump from the house of Dew when that happens.

I am running it now... and yeah... a healthy bump is right... whew...

Send me all of your hardware... I'll go to the local library and sneak them into a back room and just let them run haha!

Tried coaxing some of my friends into joining but they are dubious as to the benefits.:( In the meantime i need a larger case to add back another 8k, i can hopefully borg my retired machine if my dad purchases it and given some recent comments i think i had better start saving. It sounds like a Bulldozer is about to come rolling through;)
