I've heard late September for the 6700 series, October for the 6870/6850, and after a couple more weeks the 6890(6870X2). All just speculation, as I've also heard late November to an early 2011 release, though not mentioned as much.

You making a huge assumption that there will be a 6890. Many, many people said the same thing about the mythical 5890, but it never materialized(I was actually right for once). The R770-R790 move was an unique situation, not the norm.

Haven't heard of a 6890 in the works, you may be waiting forever for that. Also, to that other guy, your months are probably shifted earlier by a month each. E.g., 6770 comes out in Oct not Sept. That's what Charlie and Digitimes are both implying: late Oct launch starting with 6770.

Yeah AMD just wanting to add another nail to the Nvidia mid-range coffin , they best be selling as many GTX460's as they can, judging by the prices falling they must be nervous. I'll be in for whatever's the fastest single card when they launch

If the 6870 performs as shown, and as I hope it will, both my GTX 285 and 4870x2 are going bye bye. Only time will tell.
