680i = crap ?

Hehe.....call away bro. :D

Here's the front :

That's 3 60x25mm 11 blade fans rated for 27 cfm each.They are voltmodded to about ~20 cfm each.
There's a 92mm at the back rated for 35cfm and one at the top.The psu has a 120mm exhaust.

The room this rig runs in is never warmer than 20 C.

-------------------------

Currently , as reported by both everest , and my external temp meter , there isn't a single component running above 32c (with the exception of the 8800gtx).

:p

20cfm isn't very strong.... but as long as the inside of the case doesn't have wires everywhere, I'm sure there's decent airflow.

haha what wires......see the pic on 1st page.

-----------------------------

...it's more like 60-70 cfm crossflow thru case.

pls trust me , cooling isn't the issue , aside from the poor heatsinks shown previously.

------------------------

This mobo's going in the bin ASAP............Just hope she lasts till then.

Brain loves his case... he's put alot of work into it. Although i agree with Citizen's post... More space is needed when 3 or more hdd's are present. In fact I told Braineater personally he should consider a better case to start workin on. Yah need a crowbar and a sledge hammer to put that damn ISA i mean 8800gtx in there. ;)

Personally i use the Eureka Thermaltake. Even tho there are some things about the case i don't like. I do like the extra space for muddling about in there. And the airflow is fantastic. There is more than enough space for an internal water cooling solution as well. The HDD's are nearly 6 inches away from the mobo and components.

:D

That's a load of crap and you know it.

The amount of 'space' harddrives occupy is irrelevant.It's the thermal dissapation of what they are bolted to that matters.

My harddrives NEVER exceed 30c even with you leeching @100% of my nic's capacity.

:p :p :p

Sweet Rig man !! :D

------

Allow me to explain and hopefully put this to bed.

I am sticking to my lian-li pc 65 for the following reasons;

-I have 2 of them , one is a donor case for modding.So I have lots of parts.

-I have taken this model of case down to the frame , and rebuilt it about 10 times.Re-finished-re-riveted the whole works.I know it backwards.

I rebuilt the thing from scratch again to fit the 8800gtx.

It's been modded so I did'nt lose any fans ;etc , etc, etc......

----------------------------

This thread is not about the 'potential reasons' the POS is failing.It's about the fact that it's an unstable platform , and for us to vent about said issue. :D
