5U 24bay Chassis Backplane cable

Hello there,
today my new 5U Chassis arrived.
Now i am one step closer to my new Storageserver.
I unboxed the chassis and now i am confused about the cable on the pictures attached.
Can someone telle me, what function they have and where to connect.
The cables are connected to the backplane (red circle):confused:

Could be Sideband cables for enclosure management so that the controller can control the drive LEDs (access, identification, error reporting)?
 
Maybe,
there are 12 pcs of this cables, 2 for each backplane "etage" (which itself holds 4 drives).
But where to connect? i have a HP expander, but no pins for this cables ^^
 
It is probably sideband cables for error and activity LED usage in non SES-compliant cards.
 
I bet:
those 6 (4 pins) connectors are sgpio(the current trend says "sideband")
I believe, your backplate is not SFF-8087 and supports only SES (not SES2)
to use those connectors, you need to find the server vendor and search manual PDF for backplate

It could be SGPIO or I2C, they are both 4 wire connections.
 
I already searched for the manual, but the vendors website doesnt even list the chassis...
maybe someone else has a little more luck, my chassis part no is RMC5E2-QI-XPSS-ML

Right, it doesnt have SFF8087 connectors, it has SFF8470.

Yeah, that was also the first thing i did, but as i already mentioned, i cant find the product on aicipc's website, do you? ;)

As far as i see, they are for the HDD-LEDs, arent they controlled over the SAS-Cable?

Does not look like LEDs connectors.
if you look futrher on Stanza PDF, there are 5 cables on each connector for LEDs( 1 ground, and 4 actives for LEDs)

I have AIC case with Simple/dummy SATA backplane

the easy way is take a screenshot front and back of your backplane board/pcb
or you can trace the connector on the board/pcb and find out IC/Chips that links to the connector.

the link that I provided on my previous post, you can see the backplane configuration as follows:
SS2 Serial ATA(SATA) 3G
SC3 Parallel SCSI U320
SA1C SAS 3.0 (CPLD with SGPIO) <--- looks like your server case

I took some pics from the Backplane, sorry for the bad quality, im not a professional^^

As u see there are a bunch of capacitors and resistors as well as 4 ICs saying "4953GM/540044" (google says, this are mosfets) and one IC "51CNYKK/7407" (Google: TTL hex buffers/drivers)
