Currently running a 5970 at 850/1200 and looking to possibly change it out bc of all the xfire driver issues. Is there a single card performance equivalent to this xfire card? Preferably one that can do 3 monitors.

Firstly, I have never heard of a 5890. If you are having Xfire problems on a single board, it must be the the 5970

  • If you are looking to avoid any Xfire/SLI driver issues you will need a single GPU video card, not just a single card.
  • If you are looking to connect three monitors to it, then it will have to be an AMD Card.

The highest performing single GPU Radeon card right now is the 6970.

I am not an AMD guy but I did some poking around and it looks as if the 6970 pretty consistently outperforms the 5970.
