“NVIDIA today released the latest version of the GeForce Game Ready drivers. Version 581.57 WHQL comes with day-zero optimization for "ARC Raiders," "Pax Dei," "The Outer Worlds 2," and "Vampire: The Masquerade—Bloodlines 2." This optimization includes support for DLSS 4. Among the gaming bugs fixed with this release are stability issues seen with Steam Overlay, visual glitches seen with "Hell is Us," a minor graphics glitch during gameplay observed in "Black Myth: Wukong" after updating R580 series drivers; and a stability issue affecting "Madden 26."

A bug that causes games to crash with Smooth Motion enabled if they contain Chinese text characters, has been fixed. A graphics corruption observed with "Total War: Warhammer III" has been fixed. A game stability issue seen with "Delta Force" when Smooth Motion is enabled, has been fixed. Display artifacts observed in "Clair Obscur: Expedition 33" has been fixed. A black screen issue seen with Alienware AW2524H monitor has been fixed. Stability issues seen with DxO Photolab 9 when using AI masks have been fixed.”

Interesting so this driver caused Corsair's iCUE to subsume and crash

So far not great with this driver. Caused Steam, iCue and Dragon Age: Veilguard to crash.

my concern is about The Outer Worlds 2.

wonder if this GRD or the older driver will be better

curious if we’ll see a Hotfix soon

Still getting flickering while at the desktop with these on a 5090 and a TV. Nvidia, what have you done to your drivers?

I played Borderlands 4 for about an hour last night and no issues with it so far. Afterwards I tried to play DA:V again and it crashed after a few minutes again.

Upgraded to Windows 11 yesterday so don't know if the BS is from the upgrade or the drivers.

what about performance drop? i lost about 4%
Gaming on a 5090, can't say I would even notice 4%, I was still locked at my monitors refresh rate at 4k max settings in Diablo IV and Battlefield 6.
disregard, i had accidentally installed the NSB / Studio Drivers... KickAssCop

I checked the file integrity for DA:V in Steam and all of the files were good. I played for about 45 minutes and then it crashed again. It seems like it happens when saving or loading a new area.

It is definitely not the nVidia drivers. It turns out that it is my NVME drive that all of my games are installed on is having this issue that Jayz2cents did a few videos about. It was doing the same exact thing that his drive was doing so I updated the firmware but I moved my Steam games to my boot NVME anyway.

clock watchdog is typically cpu. so run cinebench on loop and watch for whea errors in event viewer.
like the link i posted says...

Been having a weird issue where my display will lose signal over the last month or so. Have not been able to pinpoint the problem. Could this be related?

idk if the two quotes are related but the first thing to try is another cable, then resetting everything to stock(if OC'd).
if its in one particular game, try moving it.
and if those dont help, start a dedicated thread.

Not sure if it's the same, but my drive would actually disappear from disk management and AIDA64 would just show "new volume" instead of the WD SN770.

I didn't want to create a new thread to clutter up the sub, but I just upgraded from a 4090 to a 5090 and I'm having some issues. I'm seeing screen "flashes" or flickering (it's almost like tearing but just sitting on the desktop) happening with my LG 45GX950, especially with a second monitor plugged in. It happens less with that monitor turned off, but still happens. Also, I'm seeing some weird flashing block effect, seemingly only in shadows, in certain games. It's worst in Black Desert Online. Here's a video of the issue: https://photos.app.goo.gl/Rg1mYmPLXjNfa7Ta9 Pretty sure this is a separate issue from the flicker/flashing, but I figured I'd ask if anyone is experiencing it.

Yeah, flickering at desktop has been an issue since the release of the 5090 for certain TVs/Monitors. For me it's either an all white or all red rectangle. https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforc...56750/rtx-5090-astral-g-sync-desktop-flicker/

We're all still waiting on a fix. If it's a deal breaker, return the 5090 or set your refresh rate to 60.

The black blocks in games issue happened in Warhammer 3 and was supposedly fixed.

if your display have adaptive contrast try tuning that off. i get flashing blobs of grey if i leave it on on my uled....

Thanks. Curious because this was never an issue with my 4090. It's not a GPU/driver issue then?

My 4090 doesn't have this issue in the same computer. It's a driver/5090 specific problem from what I've found.

no idea, just a suggestion. it just sounds similar to what mine does but im also using a TV and you have proper monitors. they might not even have that...

Roger. Tracking the flashing/flickering is driver/5090 specific, but I believe they were referring to a potential fix for the dark blocking effect in the shadowed regions that I was showing in the link. That is also something I did not experience with the 4090.

As I said, Nvidia supposedly fixed it for Warhammer 3. IIRC, just in the last couple of driver releases. If you experience it in other games (I don't see where you say which), you'll likely need to provide feedback to Nvidia per their Graphic Corruption/Missing Graphics section.

So be warned.... I JUST noticed it reset all of my nvidia profiles for games... which is annoying AF as I do override DLSS settings... ughhh....

These drivers seem to work great in my main system with my RTX 4080, but when I updated the drivers in my HTPC which is an old Ivy-Bridge-E system with a GTX 1060, I would get corrupted video every time I booted into windows. Rolling back the drivers fixed the issue.
