Is it just me or is the supply and variation of selection of 580s starting to thin out. Is there something else on the horizon beyond the 590 that Nvidia has planned?
Yes and don't forget the 6gb 590 priced at $699.99! It will pwn like my boy Chuck!

I LOL'ed at the pic!
I tweeted Jacob Freeman with, "Any chance of a 570 with 2.5GBs?" and he twooted back with, "Not at this time." Dude's quick on the uptake.

I'd like to think the 580 1.5GB is disappearing because stock will eventually be replenished with a 3GB variant (the new EVGA in early April, for instance).
Probably not ... but I'd like to think it.

I need some high end cards. I love how ever release is disappointing followed by "wait a few more weeks for the release of X"... I would welcome 3GB 580s though.
Gotta say I agree. I'm sporting a twitchy 285 that's nearing retirement. I could ride it out and wait for Q4 Kepler (assuming Nvidia sticks to the road map), hoping for earth shattering 6-series performance or significant 5-series price drops, but I'm more inclined upgrade. I'm not a fan of incremental upgrades, I tend to buy big when my current hardware starts to struggle. Whatever I end up with will likely last me 2-3 years. Maybe I'll get excited about Maxwell in 2013.Can't think that way dude....you'll always be miserable and waiting for that "best" item...this is my hobby and I love guessing what's coming next and how I want to tweek my current build. Do what your budget can do and wait a couple years and do it again![]()

Absolutely. If nothing flips your switch, the best thing to do is wait.Yeah. I understand what you guys are saying to a degree, but I'm already totally dissatisfied with anything on offer right now, and I'd hate to settle for something that I'd already be unhappy with from day one.
