Anybody know of any upcoming deals for 512GB SSDs? Black Friday or what not..

The 256GBs are coming down but would love just to get two 512's for a nice 1TB volume.

512GB have been seeing less deals than 256GB drives, I'm sure there'll be some deals on BF, maybe not on the drive you favor the most tho. Last year's deals were mainly on older or mid-range drives (Intel 320, previous gen Sandforce like Vertex 2, etc.). Just speculation tho, this year could be the complete opposite... I've been trying to score a deal on a second 128GB and I keep barely missing them, grr. Might end up w/a 256GB alongside my 128GB if I can't find an 830 for $70-80 by BF.

I missed a Plextor 128GB to pair with my current on Amazon a few weeks back... 90 bucks + free shipping. Still kicking myself over that one.

Maybe with the transition to 20nm the move for 512GB drives at a reasonable price will become a closer reality.

I would like them to around the $200 so I can buy two. Not sure if they'll drop that far down though.

I'm currently running 3 128GBs on raid 0 but sometimes I start to run out of room.

Work paid for a Crucial M4 512GB drive for me more than 6 months ago for over $500. It's still just less than $400. I doubt we will see high end drives from Crucial, Samsung or Plextor close to $300 soon.

LOL, really shooting for the moon there aren't ya'?

What you just stated was you want $200/512GB = $0.391/GB. I'm not aware of any SSD that low, let alone a "premium" drive (which is what most 300GB+ SSDs are considered on the market) which will command a price premium, rather than a discount.

Not asking for much, is he? ;)

Give it a year or two tho, I don't think most people expected prices to plummet from $1/GB last year (around this time) for mid-range drives to the near $0.50/GB we're seeing now (even for premium drives).

I think we could see some hit $300, I got mine for around $300 (M4). This should be the first year we see some 512GB models on BF deals that are not too high. Intel will probably have one with like a $200 rebate lol.

Im just waiting for these drives to go under $300 after tax/shipping

and the more reliable revodrives to go under $250 and im sold for a couple of years.... promise > maybe!

revodrive 3 x2 = OS
512gb ssd = game drive
C'MON!
