502 Bad Gateway error

That would have been a more helpful link except that as soon as I posted the thread I got the 502 error on my own thread. Had to find your reply on my blackberry.

Dunno if you got this far, but this is from our FAQ up top.....

(16) I'm having problems with the forums (502 Bad Gateway) (various problems). Do what we call the drill. Clear you cookies (log out of the [H]), clear your browser cache and cookies, flush your DNS cache and log back on. If the problem isn't gone after that, post your problem on the forum and we'll see what can be done. If you follow the steps outlined, it will save you and us loads of time.

This is what happens sometimes for me

(the 502 gateway in the pic is the thread title)

I get the white screen pretty frequently on IE8, usually when more than one tab is open.

Looks to me like CSS isn't loading or is off.

Ya, but it only happens randomly on random tab i open up...

havent tried it on FF but may have to.

I thought perhaps [H] put in conneciton limits for IP's so when you try to open say 10+ tabs, it wont load some cause it hit your limit, as once i hit F5 it loads fine.

I have never seen this and I'm literally on the forum ALL day long via FF3.

Just out of curiosity: For those of you who are experiencing the 502 errors a lot, are you guys using OpenDNS?

iam not, i use our ISP DNS

this happens for me on various connections

@ home on a 4mb / 768kb cable line from Amnet
@ work on a 4mb /1mb cable line from Amnet
@ work on a 1.5/1.5 fiber connection via Racsa

but Amnet basically gets its lines from Racsa.

So far it hasnt happened while using FF 3 on my Asus EEE and i had about 13 tabs open a few minutes ago, when it does happen it has been on IE8 under Windows 7 RC 7100.
