Here are my specs
Biostar Tforce s939 6100
Opteron [email protected]
2GB ddr400
X1950xt
Hanns-G 19in WS monitor

I have around 500 for a major upgrade, but i would prefer less bc i'm a poor college student. I do not want to upgrade my mobo/cpu/ram yet as ddr3 and amd/intels new socket coming out. I'm up in the air between a tv, large monitor, or small monitor+vga card. I am considering:

32" Vizio Plasma $512

or
28" HannsG $480

or
19" HannsG $150

+
Gigabyte 4850 $170

I'm leaning heavily towards the 19in and 4850. It would give me a big performance boost plus the addition of a second monitor which i've wanted for awhile.

That being said, i have my 360 connected to my current 19in and an upgrade to the tv or 28" monitor would make that look a lot better.

What do you guys think?

Note: don't suggest other pc monitor brands, i have a thing about uniformity, so i want them to look the same. My current Hanns g has been wonderful and i do not mind tft monitors or anything like that. Another 32" tv suggestion is fine though.

Here's a picture of my setup. I don't know how good the 28 or 32 would look next to my 19

Which one do you use game most with? The PC or 360?
Do you have friends that come by your place often?

If you spend more time in front of a "TV" (if you're monitor is being used as a TV, that counts as "TV" time), then upgrade the "TV." If you spend more time in front of your computer, doing computer stuff, then get a 2nd monitor and a better vidcard.... although the X1950 should still be gaming pretty good, depending on what games you play. :p

We have a 40" Panasonic 1080p in my living room hooked up to my roomates 360. The x1950 still runs high at my current res, but with the upgrade, i don't think the 256mb will be enough for the 1080p monitor. Should be enough for 720p though.
