Hey folks just a quick question, what do you think a 4870x2 would be worth? I have a one hanging around that I need to get rid of but I have no idea what it might be worth.
Thanks:D

imo, about 150-160$ a single 4870 is down to 70$ price rage used .. with the 4870x2 being about the same performance as the 6850/6870 too it might push it down even more.

I thought the 4870x2 was quicker than the 6870 in most things?
Either way, I bet you could get $200 if you look hard enough.

at higher res maybe, more ram. i picked up my 2nd one to play around with for 220 cnd, just to give you an idea

Thanks for the feedback, guess I can start at $200 and work down from there

4870x2 is 1gbx2gpu, each gpu gets exclusive access to 1gb, doesn't compound.

there is a 2gig version and a 1gig version. 512+512 for 1g and 1g+1g for 2

edit, i see what you are saying, each core gets 1gig. but its still a dual core card vs 1 core with the same ram

a 4870x2 should never be weaker than the 6870, at minimum even a highly overclocked 6870 might stand a change...maybe :p
I'm not in any rush to change my card from a 4870x2, I play at 1920x1200 and havent found any reason to yet. Dx11 isn't high on my list of priorities, plus I have alot of games to play that are dx10/10.1.

The 4870x2 and even the gtx295 are great powerhouses for the $. The 295 can be found around 470 prices and can perform like 480s or better (stock).

I'd say around $180-$190, maybe cheaper since the you can find single 4870s for $70 each. $145 is the lowest I've seen a 4870x2

Too bad , I just sold my 4870x2 on the forums here for $75 bucks and yea its still worth it if you can find it cheap. Just be ready to deal with some possible driver issues , AMD has yet to fully fix the second GPU not being used in games depending on the driver installed.

It was a "cooked" card as in I did the oven trick to revive it so I felt a healthy discount was the right thing to do since it could die in the future. If I wasn't such a performance whore I might have still kept it but I already spent money on a GTX 480 SLI setup so no point.
