4870 brand choice

Which to pick, determined by their service (or lack of same), warranty, buyers experience with them and such.

Gainward 4870 or Club3d 4870? Or should I stay far away from both?
Price is same for both.

Reason is, its the only 2 brands I can get right now in the shop I was planning to order from. Only other I can get there is Asus, but it wont be in stock for 1 week more.
 
Why not Gigabyte? I always find their products have better value. And I've owned like 3 Gigabyte cards without any problems at all.
 
if all the cards are close in price, get the one with LIFETIME warranty. btw all the cards are made by ATi and their #1 partner is Sapphire so it's not like Gigabyte is making their own card.....
 
i have a pair of Visiontek 4870s, my only complaint is that they both came with different 'art' on the heatsink even though they were ordered from the same place at the exact same time.
 
Gigabyte and Visiontek isnt a choice though :/
Gainward, CLub3d, or Asus if I wait a week.

None of them got a lifetime warranty (actually the first two doesnt even seem happy about stating what warranty they got)
 
If those are your choices, Asus for sure.

Otherwise, I would reccomend VisionTek.
 
I have RMAed with ASUS a couple times, has been relitively painless and it had a quick turn around.

Asus but VisionTek is a better choice.
 
Can't find any details about Club3D or Gainward warranties from their websites.
That said, I'd wait for ASUS. But as for quality of the cards themselves, they're all the same.

Still nearly impossible to find 4870's here.

Cant find Visiontek in any shops whatsoever (not even as arriving later on). Only other brands from other shops would be Sapphire (in stock friday or so) and Powercolor (next week) but they would be a bit more epxensive (postage)
 
For ATi boards I have had great luck with VisionTek, Gigabyte and MSI (my MSI X800 was one of my best running boards ever). I tend to buy a lot of boards based on lifetime warranty, but I don't know why as I upgrade often enough that I have never had a card for more than 1.5 years, I should just shop for 2 year warranty periods.
 
There is a 2 year 'warranty' (although its not full warranty after the first 6 months, technically it only covers faults which existed from the beginning) on any product here, so its not even likely I would have to use the brands own warranty directly (but I guess the shop would use it if they want to avoid replacing it themselves).

Then again, Ill replace the cooler on it, so warranty would depend on me being able to fake the stock cooler back on without either shop or manufacturer noticing :D
 
I have a Diamond 4870, diamond has been partners forever with ATI, great card, works fine.
 
Newegg isnt an option for me though. Has to be a Danish shop. They are a bit slow getting the cards it seems, except that Club3d brand which has been available since launch. Guess its an European brand. Same for Gainward.
 
Powercolor also offers a lifetime warranty. If it isn't too much more, I suggest you go with a card from them.
