Let me start off by saying this is a brand new system and it very well may be something in another part of the system but I dont know for sure. The system specs are as follows...
E7200 OC'd to 3.8 GHZ
Asus P5Q Pro MB
2GB OCZ PC6400 4-4-4-15
ATI HD4850
Seagate 250GB Sata II HD
Vista Ultimate 64-bit
Once I had the system up and running with the 8.6 drivers i found out there was a hotfix so i downloaded it and installed. but once I started playing games I noticed my games were very fluid but would stutter very often.
I ran the crysis demo at 1280x1024 on medium settings and the game still stuttered very often. anytime i would raise the gun to shoot or use the Binoculars the games would freeze for a second.
this also was present on Call of Duty 4 but was far less extreme but would drop from 100-120fps to 20-30 but less often then in crysis but enough to make the game stutter.
my system is stable and passed many hours of prime 95 testing on the overclock
this is kind of depressing as i thought it would be able to handle crysis at this resolution much much better then this... Is there anything I can do to fix this I KNOW this card is capable of more then this...
ALSO i uninstalled the hotfix drivers ran driver sweeper and reinstalled the standard 8.6 drivers and the problem is still there.. Im tempeted to try the beta drivers but something tells me it wont help.
