42" OLED MASTER THREAD

When does C5 go in stock? March? Was it announced/confirmed?

EDIT: I tried to find anything, nothing yet.

How is text quality on 42" C4?
I have CX and planning to get 42" C4 - is it same as on 48" or better?
I guess better ppi should make it a bit better?

I have a 48in C2 and had the 42in C4 side by side. I noticed no difference in text quality between the two. In fact the real world observable differences just weren't there for me. I returned the C4 and kept my 48in C2. I like bigger displays. 48in in perfect for my desk. YMMV.

Of course. Some will like 48" so will prefer smaller, or even bigger.
For my small room, small desk and 70cm distance face to screen, 48" is too big, after using it for 5 years, I think I will enjoy 42". 48" was always used in about 75% of the screen's area, never had windows fully opened.
I once measured the size of my windows and it was exactly size of 42" screen. Games - yes, 48" is amazing, but for games I think 42" won't be too much smaller.

Well I sit about 60cm from my 48in. I run it at 300% scaling because the benefit of less eye strain is enormous. I have even put my display back to 150% scaling and the strain on my eyes is too great. Running 300% at this distance literally takes away headaches and causes my head to strain less. It's amazing for me and my health having it like this. Believe me I used to be a "but screen real estate!" guy and have changed my view completely. The comfort of my eyes and head straining less by having a big display is worth its weight in gold.

Shit I could even go for a 55incher at this point.

I just hope they start making big displays with higher than 120hertz. Probably not for awhile though.

Mate, you need a visit to the optician.

300% scaling at that viewing distance is huge text/UI. I use 175%...when using my 48" from my sofa a few meters away.

Damn, I have 100% scaling and -really- bad eyes (glasses can correct only part of it, extreme myopia combined with other stuff), with about 80-100cm from 48i. Zero strain for 5 years non stop.

So yea this is really NOT right.
