405w PSU for mid-range PC enough?

I was thinking about buying an Enermax Tomahawk 405w PSU for my next build:

AMD 7750
ASUS M4A78 Plus motherboard
1x Seagate 500GB 7200.12 HD
1x 4770 512mb 3D Card
4GB Ram
3x 80mm fans
22x DVD-RW

Would an Enermax Tomahawk 405W be enough ?

Probably.

However I would not get that PSU unless it was like $30 or so. It has relatively weak +12V rail (25A) considering that there are 380W PSUs out there with 27A on the +12V rail. So that's a possible red flag about its quality. In addition, the Corsair 400CX 400W PSU can be found for around $50, just $5 more than the Tomahawk, yet offers more power on the +12V rail (30A on the +12V rail).

So from a price to performance standpoint, the Enermax is a terrible choice considering that the Corsair 400CX exists for almost the same price.
 
It will be enough, but I would still recommend something with a higher capacity to be on the safe side (especially considering the fact that the 7750 X2 is a pretty power-hungry CPU). What kind of budget are you looking at?

i'll agree with that, there are better choices out there. but i wouldn't raise a red flag on the quality of that unit just because it a little low on the 12v rail. the tomahawk is an older design and some of the older quality units didn't have that much on the 12v rail compared to newer psu's.
 
You can get the BFG LS-550 for $58 from Buy.com. A very good budget buy.

The Corsair 400CX is also a good PSU.
