mobo - Asus maximus extreme-z

2 ocz agililty3's in raid0 on intel controller with latest intel RST drivers 11.1.something

1x 3tb drive working great on the same intel controller,
The other sata controller on the board didnt play nice with 3tb iirc.

trying to add another new 3tb drive.. but it posts in intel bios splash as locked drive, and when system boots, it shows in intel RST as locked and asks for a password to unlock it..

it showed in disk management once, but it wouldnt let me initialize, now it no longer shows in disk management, but it does show in intel RST..

Any suggestions as to how to get this pig formatted ?
Thanks in advance

Which 3TB drive is this? It sounds like someone used whatever manufacturers feature tool to setup a password. You would have to use the same feature tool to remove the password and format the drive. All existing data would be deleted.
