1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Will be my 3d modelling/rendering which also includes post production apps from Adobe. And it will also be my gaming computer

2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
Between $2200-2500

3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
New Mexico

4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
Specs will be provided below

5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific
about the power supply. List make and model.
Only part that I will reuse from my previous rig is my Samsung 830 SSD

6) Will you be overclocking?
Definitely

7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
I will be purchasing a 4k monitor in the near future of minimum 30".

8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
This weekend hopefully.

9) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Already own windows 7 x64.

Looking to finally build my 3d/gaming workstation and more or less narrowed down my choices to build my new rig which will be mainly used for Architectural 3d modelling, drafting, rendering, post production, etc. But it will also be my gaming rig for the foreseeable future. With that said here are the specs I've come up with:

Intel i7 4930k
Nvidia GTX 780i
Asus P9X79 Pro
G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB
Corsair RM Series 850 Watt ATX/EPS 80PLUS
Corsair Hydro Series Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler H100i
LG Electronics 14x Internal BDXL Blu-Ray Burner Rewriter WH14NS40
Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case

Between the cpu and gpu I'm dead set on those 2 it's the other components that I want to address. First off, I need to know if the mobo, ram, and PSU are reliable enough to work under full load. It was a toss up on the ram in going between the Corsair Vengeance and G.Skill Ripjaws but based on the 3rd party reviews I went with the G.Skill.

The Corsair PSU also got good reviews, but if anyone knows of a better one with enough power and cheaper, I'm all ears.

The case is the only thing I'm not set on yet: I'm not looking for anything fancy, but it needs good air flow, enough space to fit everything, and all the fans included. I just went with the Fractal because it meets the requirements for the water cooler and fans, etc.

Finally the mobo is perhaps the most difficult. It needs to overclock, it needs to be stable, it doesn't need need all the unnecessary bells and whistles that you are seeing in overpriced high end boards that we've seen today, which is why I went with the x79 pro. Like I said, I'm totally willing to hear other suggestions because I'm not 100% set on the mobo yet, but I am 80% at this point.

Any and all suggestions are welcome to me. The final price on all this gear is a hair under $2400, so as long as we're under the $2500 mark, I don't mind if it's a little more expensive or cheaper.

What applications are you planning on using to do your 3D modeling and rendering work? Which specific Adobe apps will you be using?

9) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?

Which edition? Home Premium? Pro? Ultimate?

Also, where's the real question 9?:
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video? UEFI? etc.

Nvidia GTX 780i
Did you mean the 780 TI?

G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 32GB
...

Which Ripjaws X Series RAM are you talking about? Some of them are pretty overpriced and not worth it at all and some are ok.

Corsair RM Series 850 Watt ATX/EPS 80PLUS
....

Well are you planning on doing Crossfire/SLI as I've asked in the real question 9? At current pricing, I don't see the RM series 850W being a good choice. However, I can't recommend an alternative until I know your multi-GPU plans.

Fractal Design Define R4 (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case

The Fractal Design R4 is a good quality low noise case. However, the key word is "low noise." In other words, its cooling isn't all that good compared to non-low noise oriented cases. IF cooling is far more important than noise, then I recommend these cases:
$90 - Corsair Carbide Series 400R ATX Case
$100 - NZXT Phantom PHAN-001BK White Full Tower ATX Case
$100 - NZXT Phantom PHAN-001WT White Full Tower ATX Case
$110 - Antec 1100 ATX Case
$115 - Corsair Graphite Series 600TM ATX Case
$125 - Corsair Carbide Series 500R ATX Case
$130 - NZXT Phantom 530 Black Full Tower ATX Case
$160 - Corsair Obsidian Series 750D ATX Case
$160 - Corsair Special Edition White Graphite Series 600T ATX Case
$170 - NZXT Phantom 630 Gunmetal Full Tower ATX Case
$170 - NZXT Phantom 630 White Full Tower ATX Case

If you're aiming for low noise AND good cooling, then I highly recommend these other cases instead:
$144 - Silverstone RV03B-W ATX case
$144 - Silverstone RV03B-WA ATX case
$230 - Silverstone FT02B-USB3.0 ATX Case
$250 - Silverstone FT02S-W-USB3.0 ATX Case

Asus P9X79 Pro

I'd spend the extra $15 to $20 for the higher quality and more reputable Asus Sabertooth X79:

3D modeling and rendering work? Which specific Adobe apps will you be using?
3DS Max and V-Ray Render with heavy cuda gpu rendering and also Auto Cad of course. Adobe wise: photoshop, illustrator, In-Design, After Effects

Ultimate

Good question, I copy and pasted all these questions so I must of accident deleted this part. Anyways, yea it'll definitely need the latest Sata features and USB 3.0. SLI support would be great, but it's not a deal breaker honestly.

Did you mean the 780 TI?
Yes, sorry if you were confused.

I have no intention of going full SLI in the near fture, but like everything I'm going on here for, I'd like to future proof the system in case I change my mind. For now it will be single GPU run system for now. So PSU wise, what would you recommend?

Awesome, Thank you!

One additional question. The Silverstone FT02B-USB3.0 ATX Case, is it compatible with the Corsair H100i? Quick googling didn't reveal much

Not that good of a choice for the money. I recommend two of these sets instead:

I would recommend the AX760 since it should be enough power even for SLI plans:
$160 - Corsair AX760 760W Modular PSU

Though if you want to burn money, then its larger brother is a good choice:
$185 - Corsair Professional Series Gold AX850 850W Modular PSU

It should fit judging from this pic of a an older FT02 with a dual radiator setup:

Thanks...

If by any chance you discover something better in the next couple of days, don't hesitate to mention it.
