Just got a 6800 for 200$ Why is my 3d mark 05 score only 1339? only thing that is holding me back is my ram and its not even that bad,

512mb kingston hyperx
6800 evga
amd 3200 64
msi neo 2 plat
80gb 7200 hd

that seems realy low you should be around the mid 3000s

make sure you have all the drivers for you mobo installed if its AGP
and get the newest drivers from NV for the card

You have all the old drivers removed? Latest board drivers installed? 512mb Of ram is gonna be holding you back a lot, but i wouldnt think that much. You should be looking in th 4k region with a gig according to the orb. So id expect maybe 3K with only half. What forceware are you running?

not as much as you think in 3Dmark i get 5100 with my rig when i had 512
05 is VERY VERY GPU bound

Umm i reformated when i got my 6800 What drivers do i need? i installed latest drivers for vid card,and the only drivers avail for my mobo was bios (flash) which i dont need got direct X 9.0c What other drivers do i need? my mobo is a MSI neo platnium 2 (939)

go to NVs site and get the nForce3 drivers

yes im on XP my mobo is nforce 3 so the first link im installing right now? this is the "AGP GART" driver? will it make a difference?

i already have latest vid driver

the GART driver is what lets the vid card talk over the AGP bus some one else here will know more
OH after you get it installed shutdown any thing running in the background and give 05 another shot tell us what you get

ok that driver bumped me up to 3671 the first part of the test's where the graphics were great i didnt lag at all , but halfway into it when they did the same test over with shittier graphics i got like 3fps why do i get lower fps when lower graphic settings?

it's the cpu test...ur cpu is rendering the grphics..=very slow don't worry..everybody's computer runs the cpu graphics very very very slowly

I have the same vid card...with my setup (see sig), I get 4071...see where unlocking it and oc'ing it gets you.

Well im oced right now with rivatuner "PERFORMANCE 3d" is 355 / 832
Low power 3d is stock 325/700 because it wont let me oc it for some reason
and standard 2d is 360/832

Have you tried unlocking it with Riva Tuner?

Is that in Coolbits or Rivatuner? My 6800 ran 400/800 fine (BFG) with no unlocked pipes and 1 unlocked vertex shader.

Well i had pipes unlocked but it in WOW it was flashing a litle barely noticeable but whatever
