3870x2 listed at techdepot

Looks like retailers are doing their usual typical first day price gouging. I thought ati said 400-450?

Techdepot always has horrible pricing though. Take a look at their 8800gt - gts prices. I think another post had another etailer as around 430.

$430 is more like it :).

buuut, i want detailed benchmarks from a un-biased reviewer before i sell off my 3870 for the x2

Reviews I believe are coming on Wednesday if I remember correctly. That is when the nda is being lifted.

What does any of that mean? Can't even throw it in a translator because it's an image, haha. The graphs look good though.

The guy at CES said $400-$500. Typical price gouging once again.

It would be cheaper to buy two cards than this if they do that. TechDepot/OfficeDepot though is known for having inflated prices anyways.

Well, if the 3870 is any example, if you want to buy this card, you better do it the day it comes out.

IIRC, the 3870 was at MSRP the first day, but once it went out of stock, that's when the gouging began.

Can't translate it but it shows PCIE2.0 boards getting a hefty 20-30% increase in performance over PCIE1.1...

If that is true Im going to not go commando(asus commando). Argghhh! I just bought that stupid motherboard in April and its already outdated!

Inq is saying 3870x2 is getting delayed to the 28th so it can benchmarked together with the 3650 and 3450. So all current benchmarks are breaking NDAs!

That expreview took that from a Chinese website and only shows the peak power consumption (334W) and not the idle vs the 8800 ultra.

It seems strange that 8800 ultra beats it in Crysis, Lost Planet, NFS but loses significantly in COD4, COJ, Serious Sam 2, UT3, FEAR

That's a strong indication of driver issues.

536 dollars is way too much, considering ATI said the card would retail between 4-450 dollars if the price really is over 500 this would definitely throw the card into a niche market and I think it will hurt sales significantly. Hopefully this is just shady deals from retailers looking to take advantage of consumers via pre-ordering as opposed to actual retail prices. I wont pay 500 for a video card ever but if this is closer to the 400 dollar pricepoint I will be waiting in line to buy one!

Every video card on tech depot looks over priced by like 20-50 dollars when compared to other online retailers.

Everyone told me to get the IP35 Pro and that the IX38 was a waste of money, and PCI-E 2.0 wasn't needed. Lies! All lies!

Ewiz, Allstarshop and EXcaliberPC all list them-

http://www.ewiz.com/detail.php?name=AS-38701GB#
http://www.allstarshop.com/shop/product.asp?pid=19724&sid=TF1RCNA32U8A8P26MDDRJ6TM5DAX4TB0
http://www.excaliberpc.com/SAPPHIRE_RADEON_HD_3870_X2_1GB/100221SR/partinfo-id-584702.html

Ewiz has the lowest price and I am not sure what they charge for shipping. If it's a lot that would offset the lower price.

Free UPS Ground Shipping @ EWiz.com Backlash, but it was already posted earlier in thread.
