I wondering what the ceiling usually is on these chips. I pushed my to 250x9=2250 doesn't seem to skip a beat. I haven't tried going any higher cause im pretty sure that is more than respectable.

Mine was running at 2.77 on my A8N-Sli (2.4 on my older Asrock) till I had to RMA the board.

A 2.4 OC is the minimum standard, generally these things reach 2.6-2.7 without too many problems (high end air or water needed)

Try 240 x 10. or 260 x 9.

Personally I cant get higher than 250x10 even with 1.5v pumping through it. Havent tryed messing with the multi yet, however.

I'm at 2.7 (270 x 10) stock vcore. :) Most of the 3800's are very good overclockers. You can probably hit 2.6 without problems.

I have a very early 3800x2 that I can't seem to push past 2.5ghz (but is 100% stable) no matter the voltage on the stock cooler (the newer amd heatpipe cooler).

I have an early revision x2 3800+ and i cant get above 2550mhz with any volts or multi. I spose its a luck of the draw thing

I'm at 2.65 (stock vcore) but it can go over 2.80 with 1.45...sadly my memory can't keep up :(

I am at 2.6Ghz@1.3V, I can go up to 2.75Ghz@1.45V but I don't like pumping that much voltage into a cpu and like my cpu at 2.6Ghz.

I'm also going to OC my X2 3800(939). I have one simple question: somethere I have found, that I can change MB chipset voltage. When does I need to do that, or I should left MB voltage at default?

2.53Ghz. 1.375 Volts. Any higher and core 1 takes a fat dump on me.
 It's always core 1. Core 0 generally runs like a champ.

About the MB voltage. That'll change the voltage that your chipset is running at. A higher chipset voltage, just like higher Vcore (or Vdimm) will stabilize your NB at high frequencies. Particularly high FSB settings 280+ would usually benefit from the extra voltage.

Did you need to raise MB voltage?
