38" 3880x1600 gsync display - does it exist?

there are several 38" freesync panels, but no 38" gsync panels? Or am I missing one?
 
They are actually 3880 wide.

Might help if you're googling around but I am only aware of the Acer and LG models.
 
I have the LG 38" widescreen and I love it.

Too bad it's freesync only, and i can't run it at 75hz on my nvidia cards.
 
I'm not leaving variable refresh/adaptive sync tech. Either Gsync or Freesync are the only way forward. I can't believe there is no news on a 38" gsync yet. There have been 38" (37.5") freesync monitors for almost a year now.

I run a 75hz freesync panel @ 75hz with my 1080 :|. am i missing something
 
well --- only if you game (fps, or fast paced games specfically)
ps -- buy a Vega, enable freesync, and you'll not keep your 1080. I'd bet money on it.

or -- swap out for a g-sync display.

I bet your right too, i had a 390x and loved it, Im not about to go hunt down a Vega right now. and sell my 1080 to fund a vega

You can tell if you have frame skipping at 75Hz with your nvidia card on a freesync monitor with this test.

My HP Omen 32" do have frame skipping with Nvidia cards at 75Hz, so if I were to use Nvidia cards I have to run 60Hz and vsync :(

60 hz vsync sucks in gaming experience compared to 75hz freesync.

That's why I am mining with my 1080 Ti cards and am using my Vega card. (1 vega with freesync is better than two 1080 TI SLI in overall experience (freesync)).

I'm keeping my eye out for a 38" 3840x1600 monitor with Quantom dots, HDR, etc. Gsync or Freesync - either is okay. Right now the 38" monitors are using last year's tech - so I'll stick with my Omens until they update the 38" tech.

That is extremely weird behavior to have frame skipping in the monitor with Nvidia cards and not AMD. I realize one is using freesync tech and the other is not, but youd still think that the monitor circuit board either is or isnt capable of 75Hz, not that it would only work in a very specific mode when a certain GPU is attached.

Or NVIDIA drivers have some obscure bug that is not disclosed to monitors builders. If you are interested, follow Cirthix saga to build 4k 120Hz and how he had to add code to firmware specifically to bypass NVIDIA bugs when running above 60Hz. Just check the Seiki thread [H]ere.

I cant wait on Gsync HDR and a 240hz panel.. my gosh that would be epic.

But I love my Acer Predator x34 100hz GSync and Acer predator 240 hz 1080p gsync.

Love them so much I too will never get anything else unless better comes out.
 
Here we are a year later and there is just as little info about anything new coming down the pipe.
is there a reason why the desktop screen space is just so slow? Is it because there is not a market for screens like this, or because monitor technology takes a long time to develop?
 
I wouldn't hold my breath for a G-Sync 38" IPS panel. They're more costly to make than 34" 1440 (because of the higher vertical), the G-Sync module is expensive and the panel itself seems to be somewhat slower than 34" panels making it less than ideal for a gaming panel.

Only now the higher than 100 Hz IPS 34" panels are starting to appear and that size is practically mainstream., so the chances of them doing something similar in 38" in the near future seem rather slim, unfortunately.
