I am confused as to what an E6 rev is and and E4 because the asus A8N-sli premium that i plan to get doesnt support +3700 E4 rev so i was wondering if i were to buy a +3700 now would it be an E6 rev or E4 rev

I'm pretty sure it will be supported, they just haven't updated their listings.

It's just a new version of the CPU with an updated memory controller. Same specs as before and same process, just tweaked a little bit. E3 was first, then E6, now E4.

I see what sort of order is that 3 6 4?? :p

So if i were to buy the cpu today i would prob get a REV 4

You have to look at the OPN/SKU to see what you're getting. I'm not sure what they are though. I know Newegg was selling 2 different 3500+ Venices. I'm sure it will be the same way with the San Diegos until the old stock is gone.

Is the OPN/SKU on the inside or out side of the box and what would i be looking for to tell the difference between "REVS"
