Hi I've been looking to upgrade my pc for a few months and have been lost on the internet with all the new tech. I'm only looking to upgrade my Mobo, cpu and ram and would like it to last me another 6 years. Onto the list

1) What will you be doing with this PC? Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc
Web browsing, watching 1080p movies and very little starcraft2
2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included?
$350 Yes and Yes
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
Michigan, Micro center within 15 miles
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need.
CPU, Mobo, Ram.
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
CM690 case, 8800gtx, Antec HCG 520w PSU, and CM 212+
6) Will you be overclocking?
No
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
23 1920x1080 and 19 1440x900
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
Between now and the end of july.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc.
Don't think I need anything special does need SATA 6Gb/s
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Been using Win7 32bit but my brother has a extra copy of Win7 64 bit if I need it.

Grab the Core i5 3570K + Asus P8Z77-V LK Motherboard combo from MC for $270 plus tax.

Then grab this RAM:
$40 - G.Skill Value Series F3-10666CL9D-8GBNT 2 x 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM

And you'll be set. Yes get that copy of Windows 7 64bit.

Maybe I'm missing something but after looking at the MB it shows a Hdmi, display port, vga and DVI but it says no onboard video. So what are these ports for?

For most current Intel CPUs and platforms, the "onboard video" is now integrated directly into the CPU itself, not the motherboard. So once you pair that motherboard with the CPU I recommended, you'll get onboard video capability.

Thank you for that. I'm going to head over to MC tomorrow to look at some stuff. Is AMD making anything that can compare to the intel for cheaper?
