Out of curiosity, does anyone have any stability issues using this driver? I seem to with Arma 2. Basically, after 20 minutes of gameplay, my sound loops for a few seconds, then I'm back at the desktop. Funny thing is that the game still runs, I can hear my vehicle responding to input, but I cannot restore the game window persay. Rolled back to 306.97, haven't run into a problem yet.

Nope none here, previous set yes they hung at windows shut down and graphical errors in some games. 310.90's have been pretty stable.;)

BTW, check your videocard temps and make sure it's not overheating or throttling, or even hitting back to desktop because of a bad overclock. Some drivers handle certain overclocks/temps better/worse than others.

Thanks for the advice!

I've been contemplating the various causes it could also be...maybe a CPU overclock not quite stable enough. The card's completely stock, it's my cpu that's at 4.5GHz that has me wondering. It passes IBT 10/10 passes with no errors, don't know if that's completely sufficient proof for stability or not though.

Everything's stock on my 680 including the fan profile; I think I hit the 70s in the worst case scenario. I could tinker with the fan profile though to keep it cooler though. I think I sacrifice performance across the board with the 306 driver, so I'll try a clean install again of the latest 310's.

The entire 310.xx series of drivers has been flawless on my heavily-OC'd GTX 670 Gigabyte WindForce 3 card w/ vBoost BIOS :).

306 and 310 have been getting progressively worse on my GTX 560 ti SLI machine, work great for my GTX 680 SLI machine though.

Hmm, still trying to determine if I'm back to fully stable in ArmaII, I'm changing too many variables and not giving enough time to do so :D

I ran driver sweeper earlier after uninstalling the 306 driver to do a full clean install of 310.90. Included the 3D drivers this time, even though I don't do 3D. Also adjusted the fan profile to keep my 680 below 70C, still running stock. Didn't crash yet. Time till tell again I suppose :)

I've been getting terrible dpc latency issues (dreaded audio popping when gaming) with the newest drivers.

i found a bug....if i run my screen to 125 % or change that setting the drivers dont like it and dont seem to wanna work in sli

I just received my GTX 670, though I've not yet installed it in my system. Is the 310.90 driver safe to install? I been reading up on it and people are having issues with cold boots and driver not recognizing upon boot, but it seems to affect mostly SLI systems or Win8. Also read that it's "patched" for the GTX 690, but I'm rollin a single 670.

why not just use the 310.70?

I was using 310.70 from when it was released until today with no issue. I've installed 310.90 today and played some FIFA 12 without any issues. I'll get on BF3 later and see what else these drivers can do.

I'm curious, how do you check this, are you running something like DPC Latency Checker while the game is running, or? Reason I ask, is because I get excellect DPC Latency (6-8 µs) with these drivers, but I've only tested at the desktop (running Win 8 too, so there may be a difference there.)

I think the issue with 310.90 is on a cold boot, the video card would not get recognized and you be stuck with a black screen. I read nVidia has silently patched it but didn't rename the version, so early adopters had the issue. However, their "patch" addresses GTX 590 and 690, not the others; which is why I am a bit concerned about what version to install.
