is there a big difference in performance between the the 3000 and the 3200 venice chips? and will i see a huge diference between my 2800+ barton core and the 3000?

There's not that much difference other than price :). Obviously the faster ones will give you higher framerates and faster encoding if you're doing something CPU intensive, but for normal stuff, you won't notice too much. Usually you can OC the lower model to the higher one with little to no problems.

whats the difference between the 2800+and the 3000? as far as performance.

sorry 2800+athlon xp. either upgrading completly, new cpu new mobo, or just getting a x800xl agp card and wait untill vist is released and get a x2 4400

i don't think they make a 2800+ venice

no, but if you actually READ what the OP said, you might be able to make an intelligent post, instead of making yourself look like you can't read or write english

he SAID, in the OP, that he has a 2800+ BARTON core and wants to know the diff between that and venice

and to answer, it should be a fair bit faster, to be honest. nothing groundbreaking, but definetly noticable, especially in programs which are cpu intensive and/or prgrams which take advantage of SSE2 which the venice has, the barton does not

i would say its not going to be a huge jump, but MUH MUCH more than going from a 3000+ to even a 3400+ venice/venice

yeah very intelligent for you to come AT me when i wasnt even trying to put OP down or nothing. ppl like you start an argunment by putting down ppl when all we trying to do is have a discussion. So what if i read the post wrong? is that something off your nose that u have to make such nonsense comment?

and they don't make a 3400+ venice either :p

I was running a Barton 3000+ @ 2.1 ghz, then I upgraded to a 3000+ Venice. There is definatley no comparison, I have integrated graphics running twice the framerates of my 9700 Pro in nearly every game. All I need is a PCI-E graphics card that doesnt completly blow, and im set ;)
