1) What will you be doing with this PC?
Web browsing & gaming. Basically, I was shopping on Amazon for x-box 360 games for my nephew and was about to check out with a basket of 6 games for $120 when I realized that money would be much better spent upgrading his computer (budget build circa 2009) and granting him access to the hundreds of games I have for PC. Duh.
Basically I want a super cheapo gaming rig that can handle previous generation games like Arkham City, Borderlands, Fallout 3, L4D, Just Cause 2, Dead Island, etc.
2) What's your budget?
$300 before tax and shipping.
3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible.
USA, SC
4) What exact parts do you need for that budget?
Motherboard, CPU & fan, RAM, Video Card, Mouse
5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model.
Logisys 480w (PS480D), ATX Mid-Tower Case, PS2 keyboard, LCD monitor, 1tb SATA HDD. I'll get back to you guys with exact specs later. Currently, I have the tower at my house collecting dust, with the HDD in an external enclosure attached to my computer, while the monitor and keyboard are at my nephew's place. As soon as I'm done posting this I'm going over there to get the vitals on the monitor and keyboard.
6) Will you be overclocking?
Probably not.
7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it?
Will get back to you with this.
8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC?
I want to pull the trigger in the next couple of days. Preferably before 11pm eastern time tonight.
9) What features do you need in a motherboard?
USB 3.0 would be nice. I've used my nephew's broadband (don't get it where I live) to transfer terabytes of files via sneakernet/external HDDs, and plan to do so again, once this rig is up and running. So fast transfer speeds are nice. I've got two empty Seagate 3tb USB 3.0 drives waiting to be filled.
10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit?
Yep. Windows 7 Ultimate Pro SP1.

Just ballpark, I'm thinking, try and keep the Mobo under $75, the CPU under $75, the video card under $100. Just a rough guide, based on the prices I'm seeing for parts on Newegg. if you have a better idea, I'm open to suggestions. I do want to keep the whole thing under $300 though.
I'm still looking at Mobos, CPUs, and video cards, but I've settled on a Zalman ZM-M300 mouse ($15 + $4 shipping @ Newegg) unless I find something better.
Oh, one note, my nephew is going to be chipping in for this, partly with a $50 Amazon gift card, so I need to source at least $50 of this stuff from Amazon.
Thanks in advance guys.
