You found one example of an obscure manufacturer apparently using a 7-year old panel.
But I was wrong and my lack of research has prevented people from knowing about obscure, mediocre 30" monitors. Think of all the poor people who would have paid more for a big grainy, glowy standard gamut First 30" with poor black levels over their a grain free, overclock-able Qnix/X-Star which have much better black levels and far less glow.
I thought Apple replaced the panel with a wide gamut one like Dell did with the 3007. Can't wait for another massive wall of text.
