2x5770 or 5850?

prices for the 5770 are about $150 here in canada so i can get 2 for about $300, one 5850 is about $300 as well, not sure which would perform better in most games and which would have better eyefinity performace...

5850 > crossfire 5770 in eyefinity (I think). this is due to crossfire eyefinity not being supported well atm.

keep in mind you introduce the possibility of having to deal with microstutter with crossfire

k sounds like it's gonna be 5850 anyway, it's a bit cheaper and easier on my psu to go that route.

is the ati brand 5850 ok? It's by far the cheapest!

As long as your PSU is up to snuff, just get the single 5850. Not all games scale well with Crossfire. [Yeah I'm one to talk, with 4 gpus, lol]. But seriously make sure you've got a decent power supply, probably 500W is enough if you're only planning on a single 5850, but if you ever decide to add another, you'd need more juice.

Ahh a single HD 5850 should do just fine in the 520HX.

microstutter? i hadnt heard that in a while. i thought we had left that one behind.
