28 inch Viewsonic

Yuck, same res as a 23 (and Dell's 27''). Nasty pixel pitch, but hopefully it will turn out well :)

Maybe for some, but not for all.

1920x1080 on a 28" should look a whole lot better than it would on 37" like the Westy, we'll have to wait and see though.

LOL i love how people get turned off with pix pitch on the dell 2707. I own a 2707 and there is not even the smallest issue with the dot pitch. its one of the best monitors i have seen compared to the benq monitors and also hp., also the gateways. Remember you just cant go off specs u see online

When are these supposed to finally become available? I've been waiting for so long...

This is taken from E-Week

Yeah, that's what they said back in January, but the VX2435 was supposed to be released in February and that just became available in Canada and still isn't available in the US. Hopefully it will be soon, but given all the delays so far I wouldn't count on it.

That's a really old article.. the 24'' version just came out this week...

I refuse to buy anything by ViewSonic ever again.

I have a 20.1" VX2025, which met with stellar reviews.

Yet mine has the DVI problem... in which if you unplug the DVI cable form either the back of the monitor or from the back of your video card, it goes into standby mode. You then have to clear all charge from the capacitors, make sure your PC is off, and then replug everything...

Like I said - never again, ViewSonic!

Yea that was about the only major flaw with that LCD. Otherwise it was a good LCD. Back when the MVA's were the major panel type, not TN's.

:

but why would you want to unplug that DVI cable in the first place?

ANyhoo, as to the viewsonic, any co. that hides the dot pitch is questionable in my book
