The point of this topic is mainly to grant the possibility to people to find a good 27" monitor without having go through hours of digging themselves.
(You might want to create a topic like this for other sizes)

This is basicly what I recommend you should do. If you find a descent 27", you mention the TYPE/MODEL, give the most important specifications and share the link (to make it easy).
You do not need to mention contrast, colors, optical angle (you can mention 3D) or anything more related to how to screen looks since people will dig for themselves once they find a screen that might fit their needs).
Also keep in mind not to mention monitors 2 years older then this topic.

Here is an example of a good monitor:

SAMSUNG P2770FH -- TN // 1920x1080 // 0.283pp // 1ms // 60Hz // 50W // 16:9

I was looking at that Samsung P2770; looks nice but wish I could read more detailed specs (TFT-Central style review; etc).

Is the LG panel new?

yes its new and to be released in a matter of days (some shops claim 3-4)
I'm waiting for sites to release more data on the screen itself so I can update the post above and maybe even get it if it's fast enough and when it has a good dot pitch (less is better).

Thanks, the Samsung P2770FH is on my list above and the one I am leaning towards. The LG looks nice but is out of my price range by ~$100.

I thought you were intrested in the LG, the Samsung P2770FH is allready available for purchase.

thats the point of this topic, you know a good 27", you share it yourself ^^
I neglected to mention dell because it's not concentrated on gaming (exellent graphics but not fast enough due to the IPS panel).

that's a nice monitor and it makes me wonder.. has anyone seen some 120Hz monitors without 3D?

ew 1080p monitors 1900x1200 and up please

1920x1200 is 16:10, not 16:9, you have it listed there 3 times as 16:9

I'll fix my error, I made assumptions because it was not mentioned anywhere.
Hmm I had no clue that 1920x1200 automaticly meant 16:10, I like it a lot better now ^^

also, the dell 2707wfp (PVA panel, not TN) was replaced by the U2711, and is no longer made, nor sold anywhere (not even via the link given).

noted and fixed

Could someone point out some 1920x1200 monitors that support 120Hz without the need for 3D glasses?
