Ordered two. Hopefully Amazon will honor price mistake.

lol if they honor this my flash drive is now bigger than my internal SSD!

This is the price SSDs should be at.

Thanks. This will likely go into my flash drive collection... Though I've finally maxed out my 32GB Corsair from a couple years ago.

This is larger than my laptop's SSD

You just know right now there are people trying to order 100 at a time and will blow the entire deal.

Amazon may still honor one or two per customer, I saw it happen before with a RAM deal posted here not too long ago.

I'll bite for one. I was thinking two but I barely know what I am going to do with the one.

this is true, I went for nearly a decade without them honoring a single price mistake though

this year they finally honored a $100 roll of tin foil for $10, it was a great deal

In for one! Thank you Kueller! Hopefully they honor the price and ship one to me.

BTW it looks like the write speed is the max write speed of a high end hard drive

I thought flash can do 200+ mb/sec writes and 500mb/sec reads - It is the usb limitation?

for example that new crucial ssd drive, 256gb is $100 and it can read at 500mb/sec

where is that guide to making raid from usb drives, lol

dead

lasted a whole 45 minutes, but the 1000+ people on the SD thread probably killed it

When I saw the thread on SD (too late to pick up a drive, of course) it said shipping in 1-5 weeks. It could have been an updated post after the deal had passed but checking forum timestamps it looked like I only missed the deal by a couple minutes.

Maybe "the catch" is that this monster sized USB drive "won't last" as suggested in the title. :p

Ordered two to run in RAID, now the waiting begins (1-5 weeks).

Appears a lot of people having problems with this series

http://forum.corsair.com/forums/search.php?searchid=8321508

and the sticks simply not working.

perhaps why they are so cheap....

you used a searchid which vbulletin does not keep around

here is the sub-forum for corsair usb flash drives http://forum.corsair.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=171

btw they are introducing the GTX model next month which is twice as fast so maybe this is clearance and amazon got early pricing before other vendors, who knows...

The $200 list price on the 256GB GTX is actually $50 less than most vendors are selling the GT model for.

GTX also somehow has TRIM and SMART in a usb device which is kinda neat.

amazon just canceled all orders

Thanks, I ordered just one and I havent even gotten a cancellation email or notification but the order has disappeared from my amazon account.

EDIT: read on slickdeals to check my account and a $10 credit magically appeared without notice. Guessing thats amazons way of saying sorry. Still better than nothing.

Yeah, I didn't really expect this to go through, but the fact amazon sent over the email explaining the situation and giving me a $10 credit will keep me shopping there.

Same. Cancellation on two but a $10 GC as a consultation prize.

Dang, the only super deal I was ever fast enough to get and thought I had a chance at and they canceled.

I got my cancellation as expected, but I didn't expect the $10 gift card. I'm pleased.
